The Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games have enabled us to win a remarkable number of gold, silver and bronze medals: excellent opportunities to discover the course of many athletes – even those who until now were little known – who have reached the podium. In these Paralympics, Italy has won 69 medals (14 gold, 29 silver and 26 bronze).
But let us not forget that, despite the final outcome, all those who enter the Olympic and Paralympic Games are already living a dream that very few can claim to have lived. This is because the person selected to enter Tokyo 2020 has already been chosen because he is one of the best athletes in the world. And he’s going to represent his country, in front of the whole world.
