What is the carpet?

The carpet is made of a support of synthetic fibers (PVC, synthetic rubber foam) or natural fibers (jute, rubber foam) on which the velor surface is fixed with a glue.

The velour can be

of natural fibers of vegetable origin (cotton, coconut) and animal (wool, silk, alpaca)
of artificial fibers/polamyde, acetate, polypropylene).

For maintenance purposes, it should be noted that carpet made of natural vegetable and animal fibers might be damaged by the use of excessive amounts of water, which may cause the jute support to shrink and also cause discolouration.

Carpet cleaning systems

The maintenance cleaning of the carpet must be considered as a series of interventions that tend to preserve the value of the surface / building.

Maintenance interventions must be planned to guarantee quality standards of cleaning within the limits of customer satisfaction with an optimal economic yield

Depending on the degree of penetration of the dirt, you decide which system to use:

Dirt surface

Daily cleaning removes dust and dirt surface that nests between the fibers

Dirt compacted

Periodic maintenance cleaning removes the compact surface dirt that is set between the fibers

Dirt penetrated on the support

The deep cleaning removes the dirt penetrated on the support that can be adherent to the fibers

Before carrying out any type of maintenance cleaning, it is necessary to remove the dirt and dust on the fibers and at the bottom to avoid reducing the effectiveness of the cleaning solution.

The carpet maintenance cleaning systems differ in:

Dry systems(completely dry or with the use of a reduced amount of detergent) for frequent periodic maintenance. Do not wet the fibers allowing an immediate transit of the surface and do not cause any damage to the natural fibers or the support.
Wet systemswith the use of cleaning solutions that cause a high degree of humidity. They are used for the cleaning of periodic and bottom maintenance.
