At the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, temple of motor sports and home of the Formula 1™ Grand Prix, we found ourselves faced with a unique challenge: keeping the track clean even after the exciting drag racing, a sport which sees vehicles speeding over 640 km/h.

The Dragster Challenge

Effective drag strip cleaning to ensure safety and optimal performance

Drag racing, a spectacular sport followed by millions of spectators, especially in the United States, features breathtaking speed and thrilling acceleration, from 0 to 100 in just 0.7 seconds. These competitions take place on straight tracks of approximately 1/4 mile, where two competitors compete in a drag race. The impressive power of a dragster, capable of reaching 10,000 KP, causes the wheels to skid for hundreds of metres, leaving a layer of rubber on the asphalt which requires effective removal to ensure safety and maximum performance at all times. This unique need required an equally special track cleaning solution, highlighting the importance of keeping these surfaces in optimal condition for safety and efficiencty racings.

Thanks to the collaboration of our dealer Al Nojoom Cleaning Equipments, who supplied the circuit with our combined COMBO, capable of addressing and solving the cleaning needs of Yas Marina thanks to its counter-rotating roller brushes and the use of a special chemical. Combo, manages to quickly remove the rubber film and restore the asphalt to its optimal grip conditions.
