Clean concrete floors

Floor types

Rough and polished cements are used when inexpensive flooring is required, with high quality long lasting, which cannot be damaged by mechanical or atmospheric agents and which require simple and economical maintenance.

FEATURES OF CONCRETE FLOORS

They are large grain and very porous surfaces with a high water absorption. Greasy dirt penetrates deeply, making the removal more difficult, with simple maintenance cleaning. Concrete floors produce a significant amount of dust.

HOW TO CLEAN A CONCRETE FLOOR

Concrete floors are often used for industrial buildings. You can choose to clean a building with:

  • a walk-behind sweeper or a ride-on sweeper to collect dust,
  • a scrubber that collects dust and dirt, wetting the floor and drying it in a single pass,
  • a combined electric, that sweeps-washes-dries large surfaces, both internal and external.

In the case of a scrubber, it is advisable to use alkaline detergents; in fact the cement, quartz cement and resin-bonded cement used for flooring are often treated

  • to make the surface compact,
  • with dust-proof treatments,
  • with sealants and waxy, to increase strength and durability.

The alkaline detergents allow you to wash effectively without ruining the surface treatment of the flooring.
